Lost: Via Domus (2008)
Lost once became a real hit, at some point gathering twenty million people at the screens. Two years after the release of the first series, the game development license was acquired by Ubisoft, and the creation itself was entrusted to its subsidiary Ubisoft Montreal.
Two years later, viewers received the adventure title Lost: Via Domus, offering players to immerse themselves in the setting of the series again but in the face of a previously unseen character.
Like the series itself, the game is divided into a number of episodes, each of which, by the way, was created with the help of the executive producers of the original show.
As a result, critics came to the general opinion that Lost: Via Domus is suitable only for hardened fans of the original source, who are ready to turn a blind eye to weak graphics and unfamiliar voices that voiced familiar characters, as well as the duration of the game, because it is passed on average for only five hours.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds (2003)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer has been the subject of six games, all in the beat ’em up genre, of course. At the same time, only Chaos Bleeds was released on several platforms, namely, Xbox and PS2.
Probably, the main feature of the title was the presence of the multiplayer mod and the ability to play not only for Buffy but also for minor characters like Spike, Xander, and Willow. As you progress through the single-player campaign, the player unlocks new maps and heroes for the multiplayer.
As for the plot, the game tells about the events of the fifth season with some variations.
In fact, Chaos Bleeds turned out to be a good representative of the genre for its time. Although the game did not surprise players with innovations, it definitely pleased them with the familiar setting and atmosphere.
Desperate Housewives: The Game (2006)
In Desperate Housewives, you take on the role of an amnesiac housewife and will have to uncover a conspiracy in the spirit of the series while doing household homework, as well as communicating in the right way with other characters, among which are the main characters of the show of the same name. Already in the first minutes of the game, you are accepted into their friendly circle, but as you go outside, more and more secrets come up, which also concern the family of the main character.
Although the developers used the well-known The Sims structure as a guide, the similarity ends only in appearance.
