Every year, the government of the country and various funds allocate a large number of scholarships for students. Most of them are designed for citizens of the country. But for foreign students, there are also opportunities to receive financial assistance for education. However, it is worth mentioning right away that most of them are only suitable for master’s students or, at least, the last undergraduate courses.

Applying for a scholarship must be carefully thought out and planned in advance and approached this issue no less responsibly than entering a university.

Get information

Everything related to financial support for education is available at the Financial Aid Office at any educational institution. By contacting the person responsible for this issue (Graduate Admission Coordinator, Financial Aid Coordinator), you can find out about current scholarships, requirements for applicants and deadlines for submitting documents. You can also go to the university website and in the Students/Current Students section you can find information about scholarships and other funding programs.

Meet the requirements

It is important to carefully read the requirements for candidates, assess your current situation and choose the most suitable scholarship. Do not ignore requirements such as the number of credits for the previous study period, a certain TOEFL or IELTS score, the age of the applicant, and so on. You don’t have to apply for a scholarship that you know is not suitable. Such as, for example, First Generation College Student Scholarship (scholarship for teaching the first student in the family). After all, the requirements are not made by chance, and the scholarship holder’s compliance with each of them must be documented.

Create a package of documents

To qualify for a scholarship, it is not enough just to meet the requirements. It is also necessary to take care of obtaining and / or preparing the necessary documents for submission to a special committee. The full list of documents depends on the scholarship, program, specialty or university.
